The Urantia Book Historical Society wishes to encourage people to read the tranformative teachings of The Urantia Book. This website is not a substitute for reading the book. The history in this archive is about The Urantia Book Movement, individual expressions of people who have read the book. This archive is for educational purposes--research and study aides. There was a conscious desire on the part of the 486 Forum members to be accepted as themselves-- ordinary people from many walks of life. The Urantia Book Movement has no buildings for gatherings, no founder or prophet, no one that has ever made any money on it, and no efforts to start an organized religion. For those seeking information on the revelation's origins--it remains a mystery even for those who were closest to its arrival. Since personal experience with revelation is the only truly convincing proof, The Urantia Book must speak for itself.
